"The Opposite Song"
Some things are big And some are small Some things are short And some are tall Some things are fast And some are slow Well these are opposites, y'know? We can be loud Or try to be quiet We can all laugh Don't want to be crying You wave goodbye I say hello Well these are opposites, y'know? This is the opposite song It might be short It might be long This is the opposite song You can go in Or you can go out And we can get up Or we can get down And we can look high And you can look low Well these are opposites, y'know? You can move left And I can move right Don't ever be rude Just be polite And we can all stop Or we could all go Well these are opposites, y'know? This is the opposite song It might be short It might be long This is the opposite song Some days you're happy Some times you're sad Some days are good Some times they're bad Your mom says "yes" You dad says "no" Well these are opposites, y'know? You might be messy You could be neat Well are you strong? Or are you weak? One day you're young And then you're old Well these are opposites, y'know? This is the opposite song It might be short It might be long This is the opposite song Some times it's dark And then it's light A sunny day A moonlit night It might be hot Or could be cold Well these are opposites, y'know? So go to sleep Or stay awake 'Cause you can give Or you can take But if you hide You'll never show All the opposites you know! This is the opposite song It might be short It might be long This is the opposite song |

"Kindness"
Kindness, Kindness Oh, whenever you find this You will see the worlds a better place Kindness, Kindness Oh, whenever you try this You could bring a smile to someone’s face Well it doesn’t take much And it doesn’t take long No it doesn’t cost a thing And there’s no way to do it wrong You can try it any time You can plant it where you want You can grow it in your heart Then give it out to everyone Kindness, Kindness Oh, whenever you find this You will see the world’s a better place Kindness, Kindness Oh, whenever you try this You will bring a smile to someone face And you can put it in your words And everything you say In the little things you do All throughout the day And you can share it with your neighbor You can teach it to a friend You can show your Mom or Dad How the kindness never ends Kindness, Kindness Oh, whenever you find this You will see the world’s a better place Kindness, Kindness Oh, whenever you try this You could bring a smile to someone face So if you see someone who’s had a bad day And you’d like to try and make them feel okay Just give a little kindness in your own way Because a little bit of kindness goes a long way Kindness, Kindness Oh, whenever you find this You will see the world’s a better place Kindness, Kindness Oh, whenever you try this You could bring a smile to someone face |

"Clean It Up!"
Don’t leave your things where they’re at Pick them up and put them back Everybody everywhere Look around, under your chair We can do it quicker If we do it all together Come on! Let’s clean it up! Clean it up! Let’s clean it up! Don’t make a mess and leave it there It isn’t right, it isn’t fair Every time, every day It’s good to put our stuff away So make it nice, make it neat Check it twice, then repeat Come on! Let’s clean it up! Clean it up! Let’s clean it up! Let’s clean it up now… Are there toys out? “Yes” Clean it up! “Alright” Are your books put away? “No” Clean it up! “Okay” When you’re finished with your lunch just clean it up! “All done” ‘Cause there’s no need to worry if this place is dirty just… Wait, what am I supposed to do? “Clean it up!” Oh yea… Clean it up! In your house or at the school It’s always good to have a rule That when you’re done with all your fun To take some time to tidy up And when the room is clean You can stop and dance and sing So come on! Let’s clean it up! Clean it up! Let’s clean it up! Let’s clean it up! Clean it up! Let’s clean it up! Let’s clean it up! Clean it up! We cleaned it up! |

"Questions For Santa"
Well, I don’t want to go to bed, tomorrow’s Christmas I want to stay awake all night, don’t want to sleep 'Cause Santa’s coming and I do not want to miss this I need to be there when he comes down my chimney I have questions for the man And I want answers when he lands I want to know everything about being Santa I want to know what time he has to leave the NorthPole So he can stop at every house and do it fast I want to know how long it takes to get to my home I want to know if I am first or if I’m last Well I think there is a trick That keeps him moving very quick I want to know everything about being Santa I want to know if he eats all the milk and cookies Or does he save them and take them back to all the elves? I want to know what kind of food he gives the reindeer And does he really like the sound of jinglebells? Well, I don’t want to go to bed, tomorrow’s Christmas I want to stay awake all night, don’t want to sleep 'Cause Santa’s coming and I do not want to miss this I need to be there when he comes down my chimney I have questions for the man And I want answers when he lands I want to know everything about being Santa I want to see how big the sleigh is that he rides in I want to know how does he fit in all the toys? I’d like to know if one day I can sit beside him And help deliver gifts to other girls and boys I’d behave and do my best Maybe I could hold the list I want know everything about being Santa I want to know if he’s ever thought about shaving What would he look like if he didn’t have a beard? Or does he ever want to try a different outfit? Maybe he could wear a purple suite next year Well, I don’t want to go to bed, tomorrow’s Christmas I want to stay awake all night, don’t want to sleep 'Cause Santa’s coming and I do not want to miss this I need to be there when he comes down my chimney I have questions for the man And I want answers when he lands I want to know everything about being Santa |

"Thankful"
Everybody gets a heart Everybody gets a soul Everybody gets a mind To let them know That we can be smart And we can be kind And we can be living by giving and loving All the time So on the days when it’s feeling tough And it seems like you don’t have enough, well... Let’s be thankful for our friends and family And grateful for the air that we breathe And appreciate everything that we have today (Hey) Let’s be generous to anyone who less than us It’s good to be compassionate ‘Cause ever since the day you were born, yea You’ve got a lot to be thankful for Yea, we’ve got a lot to be thankful for Everybody gets the land And everybody gets a seed So everybody lend a hand To those in need ‘Cause we can be nice And we can all share We can keep be growing together, It’s better when everyone cares So on the days when it’s feeling tough And it seems like you don’t have enough, well... Let’s be thankful for our friends and family And grateful for the air that we breathe And appreciate everything that we have today (Hey) Let’s be generous to anyone who less than us It’s good to be compassionate ‘Cause ever since the day you were born, yea You’ve got a lot to be thankful for Yea, we’ve got a lot to be thankful for So, what are you thankful for? "I'm thankful for my family" "I'm thankful for my neighbors" "I'm thankful for my dog" "I'm thankful for the food I have to eat" "I'm thankful for my heart" "I'm thankful for my grandma and grandpa" "I'm thankful for my teacher" "I'm thankful for my house" "We're thankful for the earth" So on the days when it’s feeling tough And it seems like you don’t have enough, well... "What's Your Favorite Color?"
Up on the top of a cold white mountain Was a tiny little shack near a tiny little cabin There was a man in the cabin and a critter in the shack And when the night time came the snow turned black Always black in the night, white in the day But in the middle of the day it would all turn gray. The gray was made from the black and the white And the gray was shade from the dark and the light Now the critter and the man didn’t fully understand All the black and the white and the gray in the land But the land had a plan, the plan was clear When the sun came up and a rainbow appeared Hey, what’s your favorite color? Is it blue, or green, or yellow, pink, or red? Hey, what’s your favorite color? What a great question when making a new friend So the man and the critter, for the first time ever Saw color everywhere, and then the color made the weather The weather was cool by the purple and the blue And the green in the trees made it such a nice view Then it all turned warm from the yellow and the orange And the red had spread from the fall foliage There was beauty all around on the top of the mountain They even found beauty in the brown of the cabin But the critter and the man didn’t know each other’s names They were neighbors all along, which I think is kind of strange So the man said "Hi, my name is Larry" And the critter said "Hi, my name is Jerry" Hey, what’s your favorite color? Is it orange, teal, maroon, or violet? Hey, what’s your favorite color? What a great question when making a new friend So Larry sat down with his new pal Jerry And then Jerry jumped around because he knew the primaries Now the primary colors are three special ones Where the rest of the colors all originate from First there's red, then there’s blue, And if you want to get it right then add yellow too Now those are the only three that you’ll need If you want to move on to the secondary ‘Cause the secondary colors are a mix and match From the primary colors, it’s a brand new batch If you want to know the secret I’ll tell ya right now But if you really want to mean it, then we can say it out loud Red and blue make purple, it’s true! Red and Yellow make Orange instead But if you want to make green mix yellow and blue Then add black or white to get a dark or light hue Hey, what’s your favorite color? Is it burgundy, magenta, or crimson? Hey, what’s your favorite color? What a great question when making a new friend And Larry and Jerry? They're still good friends |

"Shh, Apes!"
So now I’d like to tell you a story about a time I was trying to sleep Well, the sleep part is normal, what’s different, ya see is, um, I was in the jungle that week That’s right, the jungle The kind we all know The one with the animals and trees But what I didn’t know, was late in the night All those animals have huge parties It’s true, believe it, they were all really loud And that’s what was keeping me awake But that night I learned, even after the party The loudest of all were the apes! They were yelling “Circle! Circle! Circle! Hoo Ha!” And that’s when I got out of bed I put on my slippers, I grabbed my flashlight, Walked over politely and said… Shh, apes! Shh, apes! I know what a circle is. You don’t have to yell it, and I know how to spell it If you want we can spell it right now… C - I – R – C – L - E Yep, that’s how it was taught to me A circle is round, kinda looks like a ball Or the wheel from an automobile A cookie or pizza, if you haven’t eatin’ it A coin, or a clock on the wall A circle, there, I told you I’ve seen it Now let me go back to sleeping! Well the apes, they stopped and the looked at each other pretty impressed with what I had to say But then one of them looked up like he had an idea, And he had a big smile on his face. He said “Triangle! Triangle! Triangle! Yeah!” And that’s when it got in the rest of their heads They said “Triangle! Triangle! Triangle! Yeah!” And that’s when I stopped them and said… Shh, apes! Shh, apes! I’ve seen a triangle before You don’t have to yell it, and I know how to spell it If you want we can spell it right now… T – R - I – A - N – G – L - E The name is derived from three points and three sides and there’s so many different kinds Right triangle, equilateral, acute, and obtuse, don’t you see? They’re all classified by the angle of each side which makes up their different degrees So there, ha, I thought it was over. I schooled ‘em, I told ‘em goodnight But these apes, they were smart, and they weren’t done yet Then one of ‘em took away my flashlight I said “Hey, Not fair!” and then he yelled “square!” And at that point they all chimed in too “Square, Square, Square, Square!” Well I knew what I had to do I said Shh, apes! Shh, apes! You’ve got to know that I’ve seen a square You don’t have to yell it, and I… wait, I don’t know how to spell it! Maybe you could help me out? S – Q – U – A – R – E Oh, thank you for teaching me Ah yes, a square is realized when you have 4 equal sides And each corner is 90 degrees Like a box, blocks, a window, or a table Are completely able to be a square See I told you! Now is there anything else we could cheer? So the rest of the night the apes would yell shapes and I decided to just join in No, I didn’t get any sleep, but that’s okay, because the apes and I all became friends Now once every year we all get together Sometimes it’s at my place, sometimes it's at theirs We have a big party, yelling shapes that we love, Like circle, triangle and square |

“Numbers Are The Only Thing That Count!”
Numbers are the reason why we know how many Of each and every thing we have around All the big things and little things Add them up and you will think That numbers are the only thing that count Numbers are the reason why we know how much Time we have in every single day (“how much?”) Every second, every minute, every hour that runs out See, numbers are the only thing that count! 1, 2, 3! Everybody count the trees! 4, 5, 6! Now let’s count how many sticks! 7, 8, 9! How many of them did you find? 10! Let’s count again Numbers are the reason why we know how far We have to go from here to outer space (“how far?”) Just measure every mile, every foot, and every inch Since numbers are the only thing that count! 1, 2, 3! We’re counting all the cars we see 4, 5, 6! Every house and all their bricks 7, 8, 9! How many of them did you find? 10! Let’s count again Numbers are the reason why we know how long We have until it’s time to go to bed (“Goodnight!”) When you try to fall asleep, you’ll be adding up the sheep ‘Cause numbers are the only thing count! Numbers are the only thing that count! Numbers are the only thing that count! |
